I read with interest a comment by Rodney Ong on an article about Gunung Keriang here:

"This is a very awesome place. I have visited other heritage sites like this in other countries. They wasted no time in gazzeting the area and strict enforcement were implemented. Heavy promotion by the tourism board quickly brings in visitors. Entrance fees are implemented to mantain upkeep of park. Accessibilty with proper road and advertising signboards are very important. Observing vandalism Malaysia, I think it all boils down to education. It has to start from parenting, schools and community bodies. A third world mentality is a sign that our government is not doing it correctly in education. What is the point of being very literated and not really educated? When developing a wonderful heritage site like this, good infrastructure have to be done from the minute a visitor exit the highway to the destination. What I see, Gunung Keriang site is definitely a place full of potential" - Rodney Ong.

Yes, Malaysia has many awesome heritage places that are yet to be recognised by the authorities. The authorities could be incompetent, uninterested, couldn’t careless, unpatriotic, stupid or plain lazy! Proof me wrong ok. Malaysia Boleh!

Look at this Red Rocks of Pulau Sayak, Kedah, Malaysia. The island and the surrounding coastlines are filled with red red rocks. They should be gazzetted too!
